OUR COACHES

Between our coaching team, we have thousands and thousands of hours of football coaching experience. All our lead coaches have either studied for a sports-related degree or have extensive experience in the management and leadership of top-quality football programmes. All our coaches are currently active in full-time or part-time study or professional development with the aim at improving themselves as teachers of football. All our coaches are currently studying the FA Youth Modules, new age-appropriate courses aimed at improving the way we deliver our sessions.

 

Mark Carter, Director

Mark worked as Director of Junior and Youth Coaching at the biggest football club in New Zealand. He also coached international age-group players and coached youngsters on National Academies, and ran Level 1 and 2 coaching courses on behalf of the national FA.

More recently, Mark has coached 7-14 year old boys and girls at Watford FC Academy and Centre of Excellence. Mark is qualified to UEFA B level, and has completed the FA Youth Coaches Award. He has also completed FA Level 5 Psychology in Football, and was a football pundit on Setanta Sports until 2009. He completed his FA Youth Module 3 in June 2011.

Mark is a qualified English language teacher with experience of teaching adults and children in various schools across the world. He is also a qualified and experienced Statistician. As well as coaching football, Mark has written reports for the government on the development of Gifted and Talented children.

 

Luke Hindes, Head Coach

Luke is an experienced coach of all age groups from under-8s to under-18s. He is UEFA B Qualified, and is Head Coach of the Westway Youth Academy team where he has been coaching for five years. He spent a year in the US coaching youth teams and educating coaches. Luke completed a degree in Sports Science with Professional Football Coaching at the Uni of Greenwich in 2010, and wrote his dissertation on the affects of music on percieved effort in football training.

Luke has completed a PGCE/Teacher Training to be a PE teacher in secondary schools. Luke has completed the FA Youth Modules and rates the courses very highly. In Jan 2010, Luke travelled to Brazil to learn more about football development over there. His knowledge and experience is a vital part of the MoF programme.

 

 

Joe Fox, Coach

Joe graduated from Edinburgh University, with a BSc in Applied Sports Science in 2010. He has a passion for sports development and for working with children, and completed a PGCE/Teacher training to be a PE teacher in secondary schools in 2011.

Joe has completed his FA Level 2 coaching certificate, and is an expert at working with children with special educational needs. He also has previous teaching experience as a Secondary School teaching assistant and as a multi-sport coach on holiday camps. Joe began studying the FA Youth Modules in September 2010.

 

 

 Chris Lincoln, Coach

Chris started football coaching in 2005, and has enjoyed coaching roles as Northborough Juniors U8s head coach and Bourne Grammar School U12s assistant coach. In 2010 he completed a BSc (Hons) Sport Development and Coaching Sciences degree at Bournemouth University. During his study he worked as a coach and athlete mentor at the Bournemouth University Gifted and Talented Multi-Skills Academy (2007-08) and as a coach at Brazilian Soccer Schools and Socatots (2008-10). Whilst in these roles Chris helped ten players progress into professional academies at Chelsea, Southampton and Bournemouth. Chris has also worked as a match analyst for AFC Bournemouth U18s. 

Chris is currently working as a full-time community and soccer school coach for Arsenal FC. This role has seen him coach children for several months in Cyprus, and a further several months in Indonesia.

 

Dav Dhillon, Coach

Dav started coaching and pursuing a career in football coaching in 2004. He has worked at grassroots level for football clubs, after-school clubs and academies, coaching children of various ages and abilities. He has experience coaching 11 a-side teams and is very knowledgeable about small-sided football and Futsal.

Dav is passionate about developing creative, technically-able players, and has a keen interest in coaching methods and cultures from abroad. Dav has completed the FA Level 2 course, FA Age Appropriate Introductory Module, FA Futsal Introductory course, and Premier Skills Practice-Play Levels 1 and 2. He now aims to complete the UEFA B Licence along with the remaining FA Age Appropriate Youth Modules.

Dav runs his own youth development programme called Creativo in his home town of Ilford.

 

 

Martin Crockett, Interim Manager and Trainee Coach

Having been to school in the States, and played footy for various teams in and around London, Martin has settled in Muswell Hill. Martin is a Level 1 football coach, and is very keen to extend his knowledge and experience of teaching before taking further qualifications. Martin began studying the FA Youth Modules in September 2010, and has also completed Premier Skills Practice-Play Levels 1 and 2.

Martin has worked in project management for five years, delivering large advertising projects for major companies. Martin took charge of the running of the MoF programme in Muswell Hill for several weeks in 2010 and 2011.
