National Children's Football Alliance

Ministry of Football is a proud founding member of the National Children's Football Alliance (CFA).

The Children's Football Alliance is a coalition of agencies and organisations that safeguard and advance the rights of children in football.

Children contribute immeasurably to the game of football as players, as fans, as workers and in many other ways. Without doubt, the power of football to be an influential and dominant force for good in the daily lives of children is enormous.

The aims of the CFA are:

To get more boys and girls actively playing football; to secure for them the most enjoyable, developmental and child-centred football experience when they do play; to create playing environments and formats which allow children to reach their full potential in football; and to eliminate the factors which cause boys and girls to drop out of football.

Play Day, National Children's Football Week

Saturday 2nd June 2012, 2pm to 4pm @ Ashmole School, N14

To celebrate National Children's Football Week, we will hold a Children's Play Day on Sat 2nd June.

This will be a free event for all children aged 3 to 18 - from whatever school, club and level of football. We welcome teams and groups of friends, and we welcome families too. Last year we had over 35 children attend, and we had some great small-sided games for all.

This event will be a celebration of children's football, for children by children.  We will set-up lots of mini-pitches for the children to play on. Adults can play too if they wish. And we shall have our team of expert coaches around to run free skills clinics for anyone who wants to join in. We'll provide the footballs, we'll provide the goals - you just come along and do the scoring!
