National Children's Football Alliance

Ministry of Football is a proud founding member of the National Children's Football Alliance (CFA).

The Children's Football Alliance is a coalition of agencies and organisations that safeguard and advance the rights of children in football.

Children contribute immeasurably to the game of football as players, as fans, as workers and in many other ways. Without doubt, the power of football to be an influential and dominant force for good in the daily lives of children is enormous.

The aims of the CFA are:

To get more boys and girls actively playing football; to secure for them the most enjoyable, developmental and child-centred football experience when they do play; to create playing environments and formats which allow children to reach their full potential in football; and to eliminate the factors which cause boys and girls to drop out of football.

Play Day, National Children's Football Week

Sunday 5th June 2011

To celebrate National Children's Football Week, we held a Children's Play Day on Sunday 5th June.

This was a free event for all children aged 3 to 18. We had over 35 children attend, and we had some great small-sided games for all.

This event was a celebration of children's football, for children by children.  The photos on the left show some of the action from the day.
